If BC Archives or Royal BC Museum material (for example, still images, records, documents, cartographic records, sound and moving images) will be used in a local BC museum exhibit or display (non-traveling) or on a local BC interpretive sign or plaque, permission or use fees will not apply.  You must, however, complete a permission form for the type of record you are using and obtain permission approval in advance from the Royal BC Museum Corporation before the material can be used.

Please note that permission to use BC Archives or Royal BC Museum material is limited only to one project.

Any subsequent use of the approved material will require the submission of another permission form.

Duplicating, sharing, transferring, transmitting, renting, selling, trading, leasing, sub-licensing, loaning, giving or re-packaging of Royal BC Museum Corporation still images, records, documents, cartographic records, sound and moving images from the collections of BC Archives and/or the Royal BC Museum is not permitted.

As a condition of use, the BC Archives or the Royal BC Museum must be credited and the call numbers listed beside the credit line.
