GROUP VISITS:   To the Royal BC Museum and National Geographic IMAX Theatre

Experience all of British Columbia in just one place. The Royal BC Museum is one of the cultural highlights of Victoria and hosts hundreds of thousands of visitors each year.

Your group will marvel at extraordinary re-creations of BC's past and present - displays for everyone. Their self-directed visit may begin at the spectacular river delta and seashore exhibits, complete with live marine animals in a tidal pool. Then on to the wonderful Pacific Rainforest diorama, with forest creatures around a running stream deep in the mysterious forest. Proceed to the third floor where the group can enter a ceremonial Big House, see carved poles from various First Nations and an impressive collection of masks and Haida argillite carvings. Stroll along the cobbled streets of Old Town and enjoy its shops, where displays change with the seasons.  Finish with the 20th Century gallery, presenting the great story of BC in modern times with interactive news stations and exhibits of recent treasures, right up to the 1990s.

You may also want to include time for your group to enjoy the Royal Museum Shop, and the National Geographic IMAX Theatre.

The Royal BC Museum is located in downtown Victoria on the Inner Harbour, at the intersection or Belleville Street and Government Street. It is next to the legislature building and grounds, harbour walkways, hotels and restaurants.
