 ASSESSMENT AND EVALUATION
GRADE 7

Prescribed Learning Outcomes:

Can students describe all organisms in terms of their roles as part of interconnected food webs? Did they demonstrate this by creating food chains and connecting these to make food webs?

Can students describe ways in which species interact with each other? Did they demonstrate this by charting how one species is affected by another, and by creating food webs?

Can students compare and contrast the major biogeoclimatic zones of BC? Did they demonstrate this by describing the biological, geographic and climatic conditions and relationships within the main biogeoclimatic zones of the Thompson-Okanagan region?

Can students determine the limiting factors for local ecosystems? Did they demonstrate this by identifying biotic and abiotic factors within different biomes?

Can students outline the stages of recovery of a damaged local ecosystem? Did they demonstrate this by outlining recovery plans for a local ecosystem and communicating this to others?
