FIELD MARKS
This little flycatcher is rather plain looking. It has greyish upper-parts
with olive-greyish underneath. It has a dark bill and whitish throat,
belly and undertail coverts with light wing bars. Approximate length:
13 cm
HABITAT
The Western Wood-Pewee prefers woodland openings and edges, especially
aspen groves. It can also be found around trees and shrubs that are near
water and altered environments, such as urban and agricultural areas.
NESTING
They usually build their nests on horizontal branches far from the trunk.
The female lays about three whitish eggs with brown and lavender blotches
at the larger end.

Common to abundant.
