AquaVan 150: Connecting Communities to Coastlines

A Canada 150 Signature Initiative

The Vancouver Aquarium Marine Science Centre’s award-winning AquaVan is making a splash at the Royal BC Museum with live marine animals from British Columbia’s coast! AquaVan Educators will facilitate learning through hands-on exploration of aquatic life from around the world. Touch a sea star, examine a hermit crab and discover the connections between our aquatic life, the environment, and ourselves.

After learning about our aquatic environments and the amazing life within them, you’ll have the opportunity to take direct action by joining a shoreline cleanup right in the neighbourhood. The meet up for this is in the lobby of the Royal BC Museum at 2pm.
