Dr. Ken Marr, curator of botany, will give an illustrated presentation about the flora of northern BC, including images of the landscapes, rare plants, common plants, a pseudoflower, a puzzling gap in the distribution of several species and what we are learning from DNA markers about the migration of several species.

Join Curator of Archaeology Grant Keddie at Island View Beach for a walk back in time. We’ll walk and talk about mammoth remains and other Ice Age discoveries that have been made in this scenic place. Boots or old shoes are a must. Ground surface can vary. Inaccessible for wheelchairs and walkers. Ages 5 and up. Approximately a 2 kilometre walk. Bring water and snacks.
