Digital Field Trips

Can’t get here in person? No problem. We offer Digital Field Trips for remote classrooms to make connections with our collections and our work. Digital Field Trips are inquiry-based and staff-led. We use Historical Thinking Concepts and scientific methods and processes to frame these digital experiences. Wherever appropriate and possible we tie in First Peoples Principles of Learning. All Digital Field Trips include pre and post-visit support. Digital Field Trips are also available to community groups and other informal learners!

  • Join a museum educator on a Virtual Gallery Tour of our Natural History, Becoming BC and/or First Peoples galleries.
  • Join a museum educator on a Think Like a Scientist or Think Like a Historian themed program if you want to dive deeper into our collections and maybe get a peek behind the scenes.

Contact Liz Crocker, learning program developer, at for more information.
