At TELUS, we passionately promote a healthier environment by partnering with organizations that protect Canadian animals and their habitats. That’s why we are proud to sponsor the Species at Risk exhibition.
Since 2000, TELUS, our team members and retirees have contributed over $5.2 million to animal-related causes. Through our partnership with the Royal British Columbia Museum, we are committed to facing conservation challenges head on and providing opportunities for our team members and our customers to make a difference.
Over 50,000 plants and animals live in BC, more than anywhere else in Canada. But many could soon disappear forever; when we don’t act, threatened species can quickly become endangered. Over 1,500 species in BC alone are now at risk of extinction. Change is happening much too fast and their survival – and ours – depends on the choices we make today. By working together to safeguard animals and the places they call home we can ensure a healthy, sustainable future for all.
We are equally as committed to connecting our youth with technology to encourage their ambition to change the world, one community at a time. TELUS has provided funding for tablets to be used in hands-on learning to help children better understand species at risk and give them the opportunity to make choices in support of a healthier environment.
