About BC Archives

The BC Archives has remained open throughout the pandemic. We have been offering on site services for land claim and legal researchers and have offered remote services to all our clients. On July 30, 2020 we will be expanding our onsite services to researchers with demonstrable urgent deadlines, which will be followed by expansion to the broader public on September 14.

For more information, please see Reference Room Reopening.

Welcome to the BC Archives, located in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada. The BC Archives is the archives of the Government of British Columbia and provides research access to records of enduring value to the province for both the provincial government and public researchers.
