This four-week workshop will be an opportunity to investigate the lives of historical and forgotten Victoria residents, up close and personal. Who were they? How did they live? What motivated them?

This social history workshop will consider these questions and more, examining clues found in photographs, documents and artifacts within the museum’s collections and archives.

Marriott is one of Canada’s premier professional wildlife and nature photographers.  He is known for photographing wilderness scenes and wild, free-roaming animals in their natural habitats.  John’s new book, Tall Tales, Long Lenses, is an impressive collection of images and personal narrative, and chronicles his rise as one of Canada’s renowned wildlife photographers.

Carillon Recital - Songs of Sorrow and Hope

Provincial Carillonneur, Rosemary Laing will play songs of sorrow and hope in recognition of the Transgendered Day of Remembrance and Transgendered Week of Resilience events taking part around the city. The Transgendered Day of Remembrance, which occurs annually on November 20, is a day to memorialize those who have been murdered as a result of transphobia and to bring attention to the continued violence endured by the transgender community.
