BC's independent craft brewing industry may have started in 1982 with John Mitchell's Horseshoe Bay Brewing in West Vancouver, but the origins of craft brewing extend all the way back to 1858 in Victoria. Come hear stories about the late 19th and early 20th century brewers of both Vancouver and Victoria, who began an industry that would help shape BC's cultural identity and economy.

You are kindly invited to Reconciling with Water, a World Water Day gathering by artists and policy makers to share their knowledge and relations with water amid the climate crisis.
This event will take place at the Royal BC Museum between 1:00-3:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 16, 2024. It will include viewing water from various perspectives and providing insights with stories, discussions, and artistic work including poetry.

Using the taxidermy animals from the Royal BC Museum’s handling collection as inspiration, participants will explore diverse artistic mediums to craft their own three-dimensional pieces. Kids can opt between working with polymer clay or cardboard box paper to sculpt their unique 3D animals.
