Family Day 2024

There’s lots of fun to be had this Family Day at the Royal BC Museum and IMAX® Victoria.

Monday, February 19, the Royal BC Museum will be open to the public for ADMISSION BY DONATION. IMAX® Victoria will also be offering FREE entry to documentary films for children, youth, students and seniors. Dive into discover together! 

What else is happening at the museum?

• Snag your FREE Family Day Activity Guide for an extra dose of fun. Packed with activities and fascinating facts, it's the perfect companion for a day of exploration. 
• Visit Helmcken House from 12–4 PM and see one of the oldest houses in British Columbia still located on its original site.
• Check out the Mammal Learning Room from 10 AM–4 PM to learn about the diversity and behaviours of some mammals found in BC.
• From 10 AM–4 PM, volunteers will be on hand at the Tidal Pool to help you explore the wide variety of life found in the Salish Sea.
• Brush up on your family tree with the BC Archives at the "Ask an Archivist" table on the third floor from 11 AM-2PM.
• See what's for sale at the final day of the Royal Museum Shop's annual Mammoth Sale. Save 20–75% off in-store and shop an incredible assortment of unique and unusual props and display items.
