RBCM@Home goes to the McAbee Fossil Beds

RBCM@Home is back. And back on the road.

For this session, we travel way back in time (over 50 million years ago) to the McAbee Fossil Beds. The McAbee Fossil Beds were formed during the Eocene Epoch and is remarkable for it's diversity of fossil specimens, including insect, plant, and fish fossils. Renowned worldwide, this fossil site offers a spectacular glimpse into the Eocene's biodiversity and ecosystems.

Join Chief Frank Antoine of the St'uxwtèws Bonaparte First Nation, as he talks about the care and management of this important site. Also joining in will be Derek Larson, collections manager and researcher in Paleontology at Royal BC Museum, and Tom Dickinson, Professor Emeritus at Thompson Rivers University.
